Todd Priest

Todd Priest, Vice President at Curt Pringle & Associates (CP&A), has 25 years’ experience in government and public affairs. He has proven to be an invaluable component of CP&A’s comprehensive approach to client service, bringing his talents and abilities to bear on behalf of a wide variety of CP&A clients, including statewide trade associations, technology companies, real estate developers, and municipal governments.

Mr. Priest has an extensive background and knowledge working with and regional governments. With years of experience at the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) and the Southern California Association of Government (SCAG), he has focused on ensuring private sector job growth with respect to industry regulations.

Mr. Priest has been involved in major infrastructure projects such as transportation, water, energy generation and conveyance. He led the efforts to successfully approve one of California’s largest aggregate mining facilities. The project garnered national attention, with 190 acres of mining approved. The approved project will help meet the state’s demand for hard-rock materials used in the construction of roads, highways, water systems, bridges and airport runways. The project also included state-of-art reclamation and recreational hiking amenities.

Before joining CP&A, Mr. Priest served as Vice President of the Orange County Business Council as well as Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, a regional trade association covering Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Imperial Counties.

He has advocated on behalf of the California Grocers Association (CGA), Association of California Recycling Industries (ACRI), California Business Properties Association (CBPA) and others. In addition, Mr. Priest has managed and advised Political Action Committees throughout California. During the second term of Governor Pete Wilson’s Administration, he served as the Deputy Executive Director of the California Republican Party.

Mr. Priest is often a featured speaker on government and political affairs issues. He studied Adult Learning Behavior and Political Science at California State University, Long Beach. He resides in Corona del Mar, California.
