County of Orange Urban Runoff Program
Curt Pringle and Associates was retained by the County of Orange to coordinate government outreach and secure state funding for the county-based Urban Runoff Program. This program was implemented to help improve local water quality, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall when local storm sewers are at or near capacity.
Relying on our network of contacts in Sacramento and throughout the state, our team actively worked to educate policy makers regarding the need to support an immediate and long-term water runoff program. Our contacts included key members of the State Assembly, State Senate and the Governor’s administration. Curt Pringle and Associates staff members also provided strategic communications counsel to county officials in order to brief the public and stakeholders about the importance of the project.
Our efforts helped win a $2.7 million appropriation from the state’s general fund to ensure implementation of the program in Orange County.
