City of Newport Beach
One of Orange County’s most popular business, resort and shopping destinations, Newport Beach is home to more than 70,000 year-round residents, swelling to twice that size during summer’s peak tourist season.
Working to protect the quality of life enjoyed by area residents, the Newport Beach City Council called on Curt Pringle and Associates to help achieve an extension of the John Wayne Airport settlement agreement, which protects residents from an increase in the number of flights into and out of this airport.
Building a broad coalition of supporters, our team worked with the city council, city manager, community groups and residents, as well as reaching out to flight path corridor cities, to help secure approval of the settlement agreement by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Our operations in this regard also included federal and state government outreach.
This achievement was the crucial step in helping the city protect the interests of residents, while balancing the needs of Orange County businesses and air travelers.
